AWTE at ITT

Many of you will have seen last week's Travel Weekly; what a success story for AWTE with 3 different mentions! Once again an AWTE Chairman's Champagne Reception buzzed with conversational networking amongst existing and potential members prior to the start of the conference. Advantage AWTE has agreed a commercial partnership with Advantage Travel Centres; agents will now have the opportunity to participate in our seminars and attend our events paying member's rate PLUS AWTE will participate in the speed networking at the Advantage Business & Leisure Travel Conference in September. Advantage is keen to promote the AWTE opportunities through their internal communications and recognises the benefits of dialogue between its members and the Association.

Director Development

Following the success of the last Director Development session, sponsored by Innovation Norway, watch out for details of our "Boardroom Ready" project. This is aimed at women in senior travel industry roles who wish to progress to Non-Executive Directors; it has been shown that there needs to be an understanding of the gender and financial dynamics amongst board members and AWTE is finalising details to help lead the way on this initiative.
