The green shoots are a-growing! Despite the tough season, new members are choosing to join AWTE even at this time of year, and membership continues to increase. Our activities are clearly attracting attention as members make time for personal development and leveraging their experience.

Christmas Lunch, Tuesday 8 December

Table bookings have commenced - before we have even started the campaigns! Please keep Tuesday 8 December free for the favourite Christmas party in the industry.

My charity of choice for this year is The Children's Society, which helps and protects children who have been abandoned, excluded or abused. I'm just waiting for final confirmation of our guest speaker so watch out for further information over the next
few days.

This year, all guests will be invited to the after-lunch TravelMole party, which will be held in the same venue. Newcomers be aware - no afternoon meetings!

Sponsorship packages start from £1,700 and include a full table of ten amongst the benefits. Email Karen Ramirez or me if you would like to receive details of sponsorship opportunities.

Boardroom Ready, Tuesday 24 November

Following two successful Boardroom Ready sessions in a packed room which covered the roles and responsibilities of the Board Executive and boardroom/ gender dynamics, the next one is scheduled for 24 November. In association with our partner, Stargate Capital, we will be looking to take you out of your comfort zones. Those wishing to attend who have not registered should do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Please check the website for further details and venue confirmation.

Chairman's Awards
Congratulations to two very special award-winners:Sarah Smalley, CEO, Gfk-Ascent MI, was the recipient of the Business Impact Award. Long-standing AWTE committee member, Monika Warburton, was recognised for her contribution to the Association and was presented with the Joan Richardson Award.
