Dear Monika Our Boardroom Ready session on 24 February was hosted by the Millennium Mayfair Hotel, with guest speaker Sunny Crouch, OBE. Her longevity of board experience in the public sector made her an ideal presenter - her various titles too long to list! Sunny invited us to 'flirt with our future' through self-analysis of our aspirations and identifying the paths to success. Members were told to recognise their ambition and ensure that we maximise others to convey our career path. She encouraged us to create new initiatives and never under-estimate the importance of influence. Sunny gave us demonstrations of board discipline and balance, and recommended that in these early stages we practice strategy and understand when to support board decisions. The evening was rounded off suitably with drinks to digest this serious information!

Chairman's Farewell Lunch - 26 April, House of Lords
After two years in the Chair (plus previous years as Vice-Chair, Secretary, Events and PR), I hope you will join me for my Farewell Lunch at the House of Commons. I have even chosen to sponsor my own drinks reception as a thank you for all your support - so you can enjoy a glass on me! This is always a great affair, thanks to our host, Baroness Flather, so please take this opportunity for 'seeing me off'!

AWTE at ITT Conference
ITT looms in Benidorm this year and it looks to be a sell-out. AWTE will once again host a reception in association with Teletext Holidays. This will be our third successive year, and the AWTE reception has become the talk of the conference for women in travel. We have even been granted status on the ITT calendar for the first time - so delegates, watch this space for invitations.

AWTE is proud of its achievement over the last few years and our sponsorship rates are minimal for the return. Do take a look and see how easily you can raise your profile, for so little money!
